Privacy

The collection and automated processing of personal data gathered through this website is intended to manage the service requested by the user as well as to track inquiries made. The legal basis for the processing is the consent of the affected party and its necessity for the development of the functions and public missions of the CSIC, which is the data controller. It is not possible to predict data retention periods, as they will depend on the specific circumstances and services requested.

Regulations require the publication of the inventory of processing activities by electronic means. In the Transparency section of this website, you can find the CSIC’s Register of Processing Activities (RAT). Through the links provided in this section, you can access the RAT corresponding to the central organization of the CSIC and those related to the CSIC’s Centers and Institutes, specifying for each processing activity the identity of the data controller, legal basis, purposes of processing, data categories, retention periods, as well as a general description of the technical and organizational security measures.

In accordance with Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on Personal Data Protection and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and related legislation, the CSIC is committed to fulfilling the obligation of confidentiality concerning personal data and to treating them confidentially after conducting the corresponding risk analyses. Specifically, this includes compliance with the first additional provision of the LOPDGDD, implementing the necessary security measures as outlined in the National Security Framework to prevent alteration, loss, unauthorized processing, or access.

The CSIC reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy to adapt it to legislative, jurisprudential, or interpretative changes from the Spanish Data Protection Agency. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

The applicable law in the event of a dispute or conflict regarding the interpretation of the terms of this Legal Notice, as well as any issues related to the services provided on this Portal, will be Spanish law.

For the resolution of any conflict that may arise from visiting the Portal or using the services offered on it, the CSIC and the User agree to submit to the Judges and Courts of the User’s domicile, provided that it is located within Spanish territory.
